GOLF SPECIFIC HEALTH, FITNESS, & PERFORMANCE

Are you looking to improve your game?  Shave off a few strokes, hit the ball farther, or do you just want to take the pain our of your swing and enjoy the beauty that is 18 holes?  As a Titleist Performance Institute certified medical provider, Dr. Reheisse can help get your game back on track by looking for biomechanical breakdowns in your swing that often lead to pain and poor scores.  Once the cause is uncovered, TPI utilizes a network of certified coaches, trainers, and medical professionals to not only improve your game, but help you play better than ever before.

At Revive Sport & Spine, we treat golf injuries in the same manner as other sports injuries, with focus on the skills and movements required in all areas of the sport.  The challenge with golf is that the golf swing is one of the most difficult, coordinated, and intricately-detailed movements in all of sports!  For this reason, Dr. Reheisse sought treaining as a Certified Titleist Performance Institute (TPI) Medical Profession, and utilizes the TPI protocols to evaluate each golfer and direct the rehab program.

Golf-related injuries tend to be 'Over-Use' injuries in nature, meaning that they are not commonly causes by a traumatic event, but from the repetitive nature of swinging a club over and over.  Utilizing the TPI golf specific physical screening, as a medical/chiropractic professional, we are looking for asymmetries in range-of-motion, strength, and muscle tightness.  These breakdowns help us predict swing faults and patterns that can cause injury.  Basically, we are looking for physical limitations caused by poor mobility, strength, core stability, and joint dysfunction.  These limitations are what cause injuries to occur, prevent your swing-coach from helping you improve, and why you are not enjoying the game the way you once did.

Move well, prevent injury, & perform at your best

At Revive Sport & Spine, Sports Chiropractic & Rehabilitation, we know that the best athletes are not necessarily those that work the hardest.  While hard work is a requirement, success is found with consistent training & minimal injury.  An injury prevention plan with functional, efficient movement at its core will aid athletes in training & competition by allowing them to train harder, recover better & solidify their sport specific skills as well as their overall athleticism.

When working with athletes, movement analysis is at the forefront.  It has been shown time and time again that with most injuries, movement breakdowns preceded the event, likely having a direct cause to the injury.  The body has an amazing ability to compensate in order to keep moving, but if these breakdowns are not addressed, injury is inevitable.  We also know that the site of pain is rarely the main culprit, because of this, we incorporate Functional Movement Systems & Selective Functional Movement Assessment techniques & protocols to uncover the true underlying cause so that it can be addressed & corrected, leaving the athletes more balanced & less prone to injury.
